Notification of incoming call
- If you are not already logged into Qualiphy, you will receive a text message from 1-844-387-5844 prompting you to press the link and log into Qualiphy (logging in from a computer is best) to screen the patient waiting. You can also log into your Qualiphy portal and you will hear the call ringing. It is first come first serve!
During the Call
- Once you accept the call, you will enter into a video call with the patient.
- Be sure to review the number of exams listed at the top of your screen.
- Ensure all exams are completed before ending the call with the patient.
Patient Introduction and Verification
- Introduce yourself to the patient as their Nurse Practitioner working on behalf of their clinic name
- Be sure to review patient information listed under the number of exams.
- Verify the patient’s identity using their Date of Birth and the state they are in.
- Please be sure to ask if the patient filled out the intake form prior to the call and that they have answered the questions truthfully.
- If a Patient is under 18 years, a guardian must be present or have given written consent.
Handling Disconnections or Audio Disturbances
- In case of disconnection or audio issues, call the patient’s number twice through your cell phone or utilize Doximity* (find the instructions for Doximity below), before marking them as “N/A”.
Contacting the Clinical Director
- If you have patient-specific questions and are unsure whether to approve or defer to physician, call the Clinical Director at (424) 329-6686.
Screening Process
- Be sure to read and review the Medical Director screening instructions for important information.
- Most questions will require yes or no answers.
- If the answer is yes, review the notes (under the question) for any specific considerations.
Completing Screening
- A YES usually signifies a contra-indication, while a NO signifies an approval.
- If all the answers are NO, press “approve and submit” in the exam(s) and type “approved” in the review notes.
- If a patient is approved, but denied for a specific ingredient or dosage, mention this in the approval notes, ie., “Do not proceed with xyz ingredient(s) as patient is allergic to taking a certain medication”.
- If a question does not have a caveat to it and the patient answers yes, then press defer to Physician and please add notes as to why in the textbox for the physician to read and review.
